Often times when we consider our skills the items that are categorized based on our profession and what can be placed on our resume. Maybe our skills include customer service, sales, editing, or Excel.
Skill is defined as the ability and capacity acquired through deliberate, systematic, and sustained effort to smoothly and adaptively carryout complex activities or job functions involving ideas (cognitive skills), things (technical skills), and/or people (interpersonal skills).
Networking is one the most unserviced skill that we all have the ability to exercise frequently. As individuals we are able to connect with anyone. I believe since there are so many people in the world we have the option to select who and which networks to touch. Yet, if we are stranded on a deserted island and you crossed paths with one other human you would be forced to speak. It would go beyond the conversation and into how can we forge a relationship so we can survive!
