How to Turn Followers Into Clients

July 18, 2021 by Ngome

Social media is a platform for you to converse with people and build a following. However, taking that next step to turn your followers into supporters is a skill that requires patience and know-how. When you use your social media presence as a gateway to income, this opens up many possibilities. Here are some ways to turn your followers into clients.

Know Your Audience

Always have an idea of what keeps your social media followers coming back to your profile. Do you have engaging content that makes them comment or like what you’re posting? What are some things they respond to the most?

When you don’t know your audience and the things they enjoy, it’s harder to turn them into clients. You want to make sure that you key into their interests, which takes time. Maybe you’re someone who posts hair videos/pictures.

It would make sense to start selling hair care products instead of juice. Why? Your core audience may want to know how to get their hair to look a specific way.

They look to you as an ambassador of sorts, and it only makes sense that you as a “hair guru” would promote something more reliable.

Increase Your Productivity

You don’t have time to use every waking moment on social media. Pick an app that automates your social media posts. You can create some specifically for the day and others to use sparingly throughout the week.

Don’t forget the time you post. There are times during the day where your audience isn’t active. Pick a time slot where you know they’re more receptive to commenting and sharing your posts.

You’ll have a more effective marketing campaign by understanding how to best cater to your audience throughout the day. Additionally, you want to include fresh content to keep things interest. When your audience likes what you do, you can start getting more experimental to test the waters.

It’ll help you find what part of your audience likes a specific type of post to help you bring in various demographics to your social media following.

Draw In Your Followers

You can always switch things up to help keep them on their toes. Maybe you can create a contest on your social media pages. After the end of it, you can see what followers brought in the most traffic and engagement.

You can reward them with a cash prize or some free merch. It’s a way to give back and increase your brand awareness. Additionally, you can test your analytics to see what people from your core audience truly support you.

Remember, it’s always easier to get ten sales from 100 people than a single sale from 1,000. Have a unique story to go with your campaign to add a personal edge to your post to captivate your social media supporters.
